British spy thriller series about the professional and personal lives of British intelligence officers from the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS, commonly known as MI6) as they serve on the front lines of the Cold War. Created by Ian Mackintosh, who wrote all but three episodes of the show due to his death during production of Series 3, it stars Roy Marsden as Director of Operations Neil Burnside, alongside Ray Lonnen, Richard Vernon, Jerome Willis, Alan MacNaughtan, Bob Sherman, and Dennis Burgess.
