PLOT: Moochie's trying to make up for being "Small Fry" by putting his whole heart into catching for his Little League Team. He even finds a new field for his league when the old one's destroyed. He even ropes his best friend's dad into the league. But when Moochie might make the All Star team, the family's vacation plans might be ruined.—IMDb by Kathy Li IMDb User Review:(Oct 25 1999 by filmlove-4): Between this movie (I always called it "Little League Moochie") and the Disney film "Tiger Town", I probably lost 50-75 hours of my young life. I would watch these two over and over from age 5 until about 8 or so. And even after that I'd sneak a peak at them once in awhile. So, I'll never put these films down. I always just assumed that everybody saw Moochie growing up, but when I ask my friends about it, they make weird faces, and say "are you sure you got the name right?". At any rate, this is a great film for a young sports fan, as I most definitely was, and I recommend it to parents searching for something new (or in this case "old") to show to their young sons. Give it a chance, you'll be surprised by its touching innocence and sense of fun.just great (May 20 2006 by iansmith200): g'day.i'm an Aussie and thanks to this movie have played ball and have an abiding interest in the game ever since..even seen the Yankees and the braves play on their home grounds.i was in primary school(grade school) playing boring cricket...could get shot out here for saying that, when i first saw "moochie" and it changed my life.a mate of mine had played one season so i immediately joined his club and never looked back.played 15 seasons thru local club, little league, colts thru to 2nd grade ,our 2nd highest level at the time.still throw a ball although the old arm ain't what it used to be...have they moved 2nd further out from home plate?and how come old blokes can't throw from the squat anymore? As i said this movie is one of my all-time favorites but virtually impossible to get out here. Thanks Walt and thanks "Moochie". Grease the old glove up every year and twitch a lot watching a game or telecast...old habits die hard. Best sports movie ever and one of my all-time favorites.
