Frontiersman and fur trader "Hawkeye" Cutler (John Hart) fights to protect settlers during the French and Indian War from raids by the Huron Indians and from the schemes of greedy Europeans, assisted by his faithful companion Chingachgook (Lon Chaney Jr.), the last of the Mohican tribe. Based on the books by James Fenimore Cooper. In this episode, after several people are murdered by the henchman (John Vernon) of a would-be tyrant, Hawkeye seeks the help of a friend - Benjamin Franklin (Stan Francis).
