Frontiersman and fur trader "Hawkeye" Cutler (John Hart) fights to protect settlers during the French and Indian War from raids by the Huron Indians and from the schemes of greedy Europeans, assisted by his faithful companion Chingachgook (Lon Chaney Jr.), the last of the Mohican tribe. Based on the books by James Fenimore Cooper. In this episode, Hawkeye and Chingachgook find a group of new settlers trapped in Huron territory. Greedy scout Jake Flint (John Paris) has made a deal with the Hurons to force would-be settlers to work as near-slaves.
