A frontiersman and fur trader known as Hawkeye (John Hart) fights to protect settlers during the French and Indian War against schemes by greedy men and raids by the Huron Indians, assisted by his faithful companion Chingachgook (Lon Chaney Jr.), the last of the Mohican tribe. Based on the books by James Fenimore Cooper. In this episode, after guiding setters to new lands in the West, Hawkeye returns to upstate New York and finds out that his younger brother has joined the British army. But when his brother is accused of being a traitor and is murdered, Hawkeye has to clear his brother's name and prevent the takeover of the fort by finding the treacherous Huron (Michael Ansara) who is responsible.
